DR. JONATHAN SCHARF: A porcelain veneer is really one of the most conservative restorations that we can do. It takes a minimal amount of tooth structure just for the front surface of your tooth. We take an impression. We send that to the laboratory. We make a temporary. The temporary that we make for you, will almost look like your veneer so that you will already be able to see right from the beginning, the beautiful and magical changes that we can make with the final veneer. When the veneer comes back from the laboratory, approximately two weeks later, we will apply those with a tooth colored resin and you will see immediately that we can create for you with the porcelain veneer a beautiful lifelike change that will give you that very, very perfect smile.
