Choosing a Cosmetic Dentist
Your First Visit to Exton Dental Health Group® and The Pennsylvania Center For Cosmetic Dentistry®
During your first visit to our office, you will have the opportunity to discuss your goals and treatment options with Dr. Scharf, our exemplary cosmetic dentist, or Dr. Kopecki, our prosthodontic expert. Some of our patients come to us with specific goals in mind, such as achieving whiter, brighter teeth. Others enter our office with more global concerns or are simply in need of high quality general or family dentistry. Regardless of your goals and needs, we will take the time to speak with you and to listen carefully to your concerns, with the ultimate aim of working toward a treatment plan that is uniquely and ideally suited to you.
Once we have become acquainted with your needs and goals, we will then take x-rays and perform a full examination of your teeth and mouth. By combining the information we gather from this examination with our knowledge of your personal dental health goals, we are able to propose an optimum course of treatment. In some cases, a single procedure is sufficient to achieving the results a patient desires; often, the most effective treatment plan involves multiple procedures. We will explain your treatment options in detail during your initial appointment, and we will work with you to create a plan that best addresses your dental health needs as well as your aesthetic goals.
During your first visit, you will also be asked to complete a comprehensive health history form. If the appointment is for your child, you will be required to fill out a form on his or her behalf. You can download the Comprehensive Health History form and the Child’s Health History form here so that you can complete them at home. You can bring the forms with you to our office or you can fax them to us prior to your appointment at 610.363.6391.
